I don't know if the world's on a lunatic spin already, but I heard this news about a woman who's arrested for cursing and talking too loud on her cell phone. I don't know how to deal with this shit! If it's Paris Hilton, it might be easier and cheesier. I'd definitely dismiss it as media hype or smear photo op for Paris' ego and notoriety. Yes, it's silly news but it's also alarming!
Just so you'd know it's true and not just another prank, I'll give you the names of involved characters. The woman is Sakinah Aaron and the police officer was from Washington DC. I can't pinpoint who the real villain is but it doesn't really matter. What matters are the obtrusive steps to privacy and the lack of moral judgment incurred by the use of these technologies.
I could still take the proliferation of explicit sex videos and photos through cellphones and the internet. There's a raging pervert everywhere, and everytime, we muse in devouring their vicious tactics. But in simple sense of propriety and the so- called etiquette, how could we dismiss manners with such attacks.
If talking on the phone disrupts peace and order, what else could possibly happen? Are we infiltrated by trivial misconduct? While there is freedom of speech, are we not also bound by discretion? Just like what Spiderman used to say, "with great power, comes great responsibility"

One time, I saw this Maria Sharapova advertisement for Motorola. I told myself, Motorola is doing a great job in terms of marketing because they have chosen a celebrity that can carry their products. Samsung made another first in the world. Samsung has just launched the "Ultra Editions' phones at CommunicAsia 2006 in Singapore as the world's slimmest mobile phones. Samsung claims that these new phones are not only powerful and slimmer than ever, their sizes also disguise their strength. To illustrate its vision for the future of mobile communication, Samsung introduces its new range of phones that include phones with 6.9mm, 9.9 and 12.9mm thin. In connection with this, Samsung gave these three phones model numbers that will reflect their "thinness." For instance, the Ultra Edition 6.9 is called as X820, Ultra Edition 12.9 as D900 and Ultra Edition 9.9 as D830. X820 is the new candy bar flagship, D900 being the world's slimmest slider and D830 as the world's slimmest clamshell.
According to Samsung, it has designed these phones to achieve a balance between thin design and inner strength making these new phones more durable. The South Korean company is able to attain this objective by using new materials and technology. Despite its thinness, these phone are still equipped with camera with high resolution video recording capability, multi-format music players, Bluetooth stereo headset support and advanced file viewers with support for TV output. It can be remembered that Samsung also released the SPH-N2000 in 2001, the company's first well-received 9.8mm mobile phone.

Based on a recent report, the excessive use of mobile phones especially among teenagers could be signs of unhappiness or depression. Although the study was conducted in South Korea, the researches said that the findings might have some truth in the United States. At present, almost 40% of American kids aged 8 years and above now own and use a cell phone. In fact, many kids attending high school are reported to spend more time using their mobile phones rather than doing their homework.
Of course, the increasing popularity of cell phones has been considered by teenagers as well as their parents as a typical to a tech-crazed society. Needless to say, the recent study in South Korea has found out that the excessive use of mobile phones among teenagers could be linked to depression and anxiety. Meanwhile, Eric Pierson, a professor at the University of San Diego commented that the technology does provide teenagers a feeling popularity, which many of them crave for. The professor though stated that it was still too early to tell the negative impact of the technology to teenagers. He stressed that although it was necessary to focus on how much time kids spend using their phones, it was more necessary to check on how they use it.

Personally, despite the "scandals" and everything, I still dig Paris Hilton. Why wouldn't I and why wouldn't you? She's beautiful, she's adorably naive, and she's got tons of money. The perfect date, right? Well, kidding aside, Paris Hilton has become a pop teen icon of today's generation. Now, mix Paris and mobile phones, you've got the perfect combination.
So many girls are looking up to the popular Paris Hilton that a mobile phone game inspired by the heiress is as inevitable as Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson's breakup. Wow, talking about Paris Hilton has gotten me to a whole new understanding of the cliche Hollywood scene. Anyway, the gaming company, Gameloft has collaborated with Paris and the Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc. to create and produce mobile phone games that are inspired by who else, but Paris Hilton.
The mobile Paris games would be inspired by Paris Hilton's frenzy of parties and popularity. Well, that sounds like a "blast", doesn't it? It won't hurt to try out the game, I guess. I mean, I may have enjoyed the other Paris "escapades", so I guess I might as well take a swing at this one. The games are out this year in the summer season. So guys, just make sure that your ladies don't turn into Paris Hilton clones the next day.

There's Dave - the Hustler, "Paco and the 88", "Bang Sugar Bang", and a whole lot more. You can send your videos and ring tones to your friends and everyone else. The trend of global business is merging. Two or more companies with common interest combine forces to accomplish market domination. Some mergers are the actual joining of two or more companies to form a new company. In some instances, weaker companies are absorbed by stronger companies. On the other hand, some mergers are only on the basis of projects. Companies pool and consolidate their resources to develop a product. Technically, this is not a merger, but only partnership. These are strategic business moves.
A merger and partnership are strategic investment moves that allow companies to achieved common goals. The recent announcement of Yahoo and Research in Motion (RIM) to cooperate is an example of corporate partnership. The partnership intends to integrate web search, email, instant messaging, and internet news in Blackberry devices.
Users of Blackberry devices will not only enjoy mobile phone and PDA functionalities, they will also have full access to the internet resources being offered by Yahoo. The users will have real-time access to community and content services of Yahoo. The partnership will allow enhanced mobile phone use. The mobile users will have more flexibility in managing their emails even when they are traveling.

Not long ago, mobile phone users, especially those who own Bluetooth capable cellphones, were attacked by a virus called Cabir. This infects a phone by asking the user if he would like to ‘install caribe’. Today, another worm makes it way to intercept text messaging.
The Commwarrior virus has no malicious payload, but it spreads more treacherously than any phone virus because it appears to come from a friend and can spread over long distances. Commwarrior packages itself in a file and sends itself via a text message service called MMS - or multimedia messaging service - which is commonly used to send photos and sound or video clips between smart phones.
Other phone viruses such as Skulls and Mosquito have no way to spread from phone to phone and relied on being downloaded from a website, while Cabir spread via Bluetooth. Commwarrior virus can spread between phones anywhere in the globe. To become infected, victims must have a smart phone running the Symbian operating system and they must download a file. Commwarrior is disguised either as a software update from Symbian or pornographic images.

It's rather confusing to own a complicated mobile phone. How much more if you owned two? Well, it's a fact that 16% of Americans own two mobile phones. According to the latest survey, Americans have one phone for business and one for personal use. If you put it this way, I think that it might be more practical and easy, despite the fact that you're operating and managing two cellphones.
Five years ago, the surveys had nearly a zero percentage on cellphone users. But now, more and more Americans are getting used to the fact that they can use two phones to separate their monthly finances. This logic seems to be quite expensive. But in the end, you can actually save your money. According to another survey, 70% of Fortune 100 companies provide their employees with cellphones. They also pay for the monthly bills. 25% of these companies bar personal calls. So, if several companies provide your business phones, technically you only own one. This would make things easier for you. Since your other phone is paid by the company, you wouldn't have to mix your business calls' and personal calls' monthly bills. See? Despite having two phones, it's pretty much practical and simple.

I've never been happier when I had a phone with a Bluetooth device. With the Bluetooth, you can send anything to anyone instantly. As long as that other person is Bluetooth-enabled, both of you can pretty much communicate easily. I once sent my friend a load of wonderful pictures from my cellphone and I did that in not more that one minute! Can you believe how useful the Bluetooth is? It's just like an infrared device, only that the Bluetooth can detect as many other Bluetooth devices around a certain area limit.
Nowadays, all the latest cellphone models have installed Bluetooth devices. Many people benefit from the cellphone's Bluetooth. You can even use the Bluetooth from your cellphone to another Bluetooth-enabled personal computer. Now, isn't that just dandy?
The Bluetooth is like the fantastic WiFi for laptops or notebooks. Although, there have been problems with the Bluetooth. This concerns unwanted files or viruses that can damage your cellphone system. But, you need not worry about that. A new Bluetooth system has been launched to protect Bluetooth devices from receiving unwanted files. All you have to do is visit your cellphone manufacturer to enable this safety precaution to your cellphones. There's a whole new world in this wonderful Bluetooth mania. I'm so glad to be a part of this modern innovation.

Don't you just hate it when you're on an important phone conversation and your battery just dies? Or, you need to send a text message and your phone suddenly goes flat blank? I hate it when that happens. But, what can you do? You can't always carry your charger with you because you can't charge anywhere. Bringing an extra battery with you is a good idea. But, sometimes it's not practical when your phone battery costs so much.
Physicists in Singapore have discovered a way to remedy the low-battery problem. But, it's going to take a lot of your own efforts, literally. The physicists have come up with a cellphone battery that can be powered by urine! You'll need a 0.2 ml of urine to be able to charge the battery. This amount of urine will be able to produce 1.5 volts with a supporting energy power of 1.5 mw. The urine-powered batteries will be incorporated into "biochips." This can also be used for a nifty health supervision and health diagnostic applications.
If you're thinking that these urine-powered batteries are expensive, they're not. Even if the idea is very out-of-this-world, they are practical because you'll only need to urinate and voila! Instant phone battery energy! Just think, you can supply your own cellphone energy!

I am a MySpace member myself and when I heard about Helio phone, I was really excited about it. MySpace is a popular worldwide networking site with over 55 million members. This site is a good way of meeting people online and it's also a new trend in online dating. Of course, you can only access your account profile through the internet. So, why not step it up a notch and bring it with you everywhere?
MySpace and Helio, together with the internet service provider Earthlink and SK Telecom, a South Korean mobile operator, have joint forces to bring MySpace into the cellphone market. Now, there's the MySpace phone. It's a mobile phone device which provides 24/7 free access to MySpace. It's actually very practical since not everyone can have all-day internet access. This new innovation will bring the people closer together than on the internet. The MySpace phone is like any other cellphone but with added features. The MySpace phone offers the MySpace inbox, bulletin board, blogs, and profile features. Now, you don't need to log into your computers just to check on your MySpace account. You can have a cool Helio cellphone and complete access to MySpace anytime and anywhere!

This is a sad fact, but it happens every single day. Your cellphone can get lost anytime and anywhere. Of course, you wouldn't want this to happen to you, but it can. So, what's the next best thing to do when your cellphone suddenly goes AWOL? Many people do not know who to contact or what to do when this happens to them. So, it's best that you prepare for the inevitable.
You should always have the number of your cellphone manufacturer and your cellphone service provider. Your cellphone service provider can automatically cancel your phone services, thus, the person who gets your phone will not be able to use your cellphone services. You should take note of the time when your cellphone got lost. That way, you would have proof that you were not the one using the phone's services at the time when it's not in your possession anymore. If your cellphone has a monthly insurance, then it's easier to replace your lost phone. Within 60 days, your phone will be replaced by your insurance company. So, the best way to practically save money on buying a new phone to replace your lost one is to have your current phone insured. Also, you can never go wrong by preparing your phone with accidents like this. You should always have a security lock code for your cellphones. That way, whoever takes interest in your phone will not be able to use your cellphone, completely. But hey, these are just safety precautions for your prized possessions; knock on wood that this does not happen to you. Word of advice: just be extra careful with your cellphones and don't use them in unnecessary places.

I absolutely love the idea that cellphones nowadays have everything to keep us entertained. From camera phones, video phones, music phones, and internet phones. Put all of these features together and you'll have your own portable entertainment system. I have changed my phone unit so many times that I've already lost track of my recent ones.
Almost every month, new phone models are coming out from the market. Every time a new phone comes out, the phone model turns out to be more modern, more stylish, more complicated, and has more features. Talk time isn't the deal here anymore. Just when you thought that phones are solely for communication purposes, well, not anymore.
There's a new Nokia phone model coming out, the Nokia 7380, I'm just not sure when. But, this phone has no keypads; it just operates through voice command. It's comparable to a small video-recorder because it is in fact, also a video-recorder. Forget about the traditional dial phones, forget about the text message phone, this is the new image of phones. Cellphones can never be just simple and plain. We can never go back to the times when people buy cellphones just for communication. People buy cellphones because cellphones have every single thing that can keep us entertained. They're doing a darn good job at it.

Cellphones are invented for easier communication, anywhere and anytime. I firmly agree to that because now I can just talk to any of my friends, without having the difficulty of using the traditional home phones. The cellphone, in my unbiased opinion, is the greatest invention ever. Why wouldn't it be? No one loses track of anyone anymore. Since the cellphone boomed into markets worldwide, everything was suddenly possible.
Talking about endless possibilities, cellphones made another important transaction mobile and easier. You can now do your banking transactions through your tiny but reliable cellphone. The phone company Motorola, has just launched the newest and most advanced phone banking system. The M-Wallet is the latest banking program in cellphones. The user can now unite his/her bank accounts, credit cards, ATM's, and everything else in his/her cellphone. Now, you might be worrying and wondering about the privacy of your transactions. Many servers can secure your transactions like Java, BREW, Symbian, and Windows Mobile.
The process includes financial transactions, financial transfers, financial payments, budgeting money, and bill reviews. Now, you don't have to carry around your precious bank cards everywhere you go. You wouldn't have to feel the inconvenience of falling in line to withdraw cash. All you need is your handy cellphone, and money won't be a problem anymore!

In Sacramento, it's now illegal to throw away used cellphone batteries and cellphones. You cannot include cellphone wastes in your household trash bin. Now why is this? In recent studies, many of these cellphone wastes contain products like mercury and heavy metals that are in fact harmful to the environment; they also emit possibly damaging chemicals to the air. Don't worry because not all cellphones have these contents. Cellphone wastes are like the chemicals in the traditional home thermometer.
The cellphone wastes usually come from older phone units or models. Some other basic household products contain harmful chemicals like radios, VCRs, household batteries, fluorescent lights, printers, computer and television monitors, and answering machines. The new cellphone units are now regulated by the manufacturers. The new models are now made to be more environment-friendly. The older phones that are useless are advised to be brought to local cellphone centers so they may dispose of it properly. So if you're about to retire with that old cellphone of yours, you better take it to the professionals. The cellphone sellers are also required to collect the old cellphones that the buyers would replace, free of charge. The cellphone batteries are also required to be collected. With this new regulation, the cellphone sellers are sure to help in the improvement of the environment's chemical balance. Also, the chances of cellphone recycling would be greater.

Third-generation is inevitable, whatever the state of the world's economy. Third-generation mobile phones will be more expensive than the second-generation ones we're using right now. The price tag of a 3G cell phone will no doubt include the subsidy for the new 3G networks that will have to be set up.
The initial hype concerning 3G had to be blamed on video telephony. Everybody wanted to see who's on the other line. Many countries' telecommunication companies were all brought into a minor stampede to license 3G networks. Only two countries managed to successfully put up 3G networks because of the absence of licensing fees--Korea and Japan.
Consumer response to the new technology was lukewarm. All the corporate-hired sociologists were wrong: people didn't need pictures when making contact over the phone. Voice, it appeared, was enough.
